De la CECA au Green DEAL Youth exchange

Act Integration volunteers and their leader had the opportunity to participate to the European youth exchange DE LA CECA to GREEN DEAL, implemented between 7th-17th of August 2023 in Bonzée, Verdun and Metz, France. The YE coordinated by CLUB UNESCO METZ, financed by the European Commission through Erasmus+ KA1 program, aimed to sharpen the participant’s knowledge of European integration by providing an overview of the evolution of the European Union, ranging from its beginning as the ECSC to today’s agenda of the European Green Deal.

By acquiring new knowledge in the sphere of environmental issues (climate change, exploitation of resources, agriculture, deforestation) but also new practices for the ecological transition and sustainable development, the young people developed their critical minds on these topics and are now a more responsible actor in the field of the environment.

Ideas for new projects and green plans emerged from the debates and workshops.

The 30 young people from 5 different countries from all over Europe wanted to show why we should all care about preserving our planet, how YOU can become a changemaker yourself and created a powerful short film.
