United in Traditions - Erasmus+ KA1 Project
Twenty-five volunteers from Romania participated in a project " United in traditions" ref. no. 2018-2-BG01-KA125-048204 , which is being implemented by the Consult Group, Vidin in partnership with Act Integration Association, Drobeta Turnu Severin, under the Erasmus +, programme, action KA1, financed by the European Comission . During the project, volunteers took part in the preparation and conduct of the sixth edition of the international folklore festival "Dunavtsi sing and dance", thereby contributing to the exchange of experience and good practices. The Festival was held on the occasion of the day of dunavtsi - the unification of the two villages Vidbol and Gurkovo in 1955 The purpose of the festival is to preserve and show the younger generations of folklornoto wealth, and also for a moment, though short, to break away from everyday problems and have fun together. The volunteers participated in Bulgarian-language activities, studying folk traditions in Bulgaria and developed their projects with an emphasis on their participation in volunteer service(13.09-03.10. 2018). They also met the mayors of Vidin and Dunavtsi. Following the presentation of his developments, a jury with chairman Miroslav Ludmilov described the best projects that were awarded by the chairman of the Consult Grup, Filip Nedyalkov. In the framework of the project, volunteers visited historical and cultural sites, both in Vidin and in Belogradchik. The volunteers received the Youthpass, the european certificate recognizing their new competencies. A wonderful project with great memories!
